THIS was an afternoon of topsy-turvy football, as Bideford dominated for the first third of the game, North Leigh the second, and Bideford the last.
Bideford’s Sean Downing saw two efforts crash off the uprights inside 20 minutes, as did his teammate Steven Reed. But on 30 minutes the game changed when Dan Harrison was deemed to have committed a foul and North Leigh were awarded a penalty. Bideford keeper Joe Tickle saved well from Lance Williams, but Malachi Napa was the quickest to react, and put away the rebound.
