CANVEY ISLAND recorded their sixth win in seven matches, when early goals in each half set up victory over Harrow, on their way to opening up a six-point gap over the bottom four.
The Gulls made the perfect start when captain Ryan Blackman gave them the lead after only three minutes.
He picked up the ball 20 yards from goal and placed his shot into the bottom corner, past Boro keeper Luke Williams’ left hand.
And Canvey doubled their advantage less than two minutes into the second half.
