CLITHEROEstrengthened their play-off claims at relegation-threatened Goole. They were perhaps deserved winners, if only for the fact they dominated the last half hour.
Their goal after 78 minutes was a well-worked affair, finished off by midfielder Charlie Russell, and they were seldom troubled by a lethargic Goole strikeforce.
Goole were the better side for the first hour but rarely threatened Chris Thompson’s goal, though striker Bobby Johnson did go close with a header after excellent work by David Taylor.
