AFTER a tense first half, Welling United blitzed struggling Gosport Borough in the second period.
There was little to excite the spectators in the first half. Welling enjoyed the better of it but struggled to test Gosport’s Nick Jordan.
His one good save was an acrobatic tip over from Ben Martin’s header when he met Rhys Murrell- Williamson’s corner.
Immediately after the break, the deadlock was broken when Alex Cathline used his strength to get into the area and his cross shot was tucked home by Pierre Joseph- Dubois.
