SLOUGH’S march to the playoffs was hindered by a confident second half performance by hosts Kettering.
The victory was the Poppies’ first against a top five side at Latimer Park this season, but things could have been very different after a strong penalty claim from Liam Enver-Marum was turned down after two minutes.
Defender Dom Langdon appeared to have manhandled the Rebels’ number nine, but not enough to convince the referee to award a spot kick.
