■MATLOCKkept their slim play-off hopes alive with an improved second half performance that saw them deservedly take the points.
Niall McManus opened the scoring after his initial effort was blocked on the line before Marcus Dinanga netted for the 22nd time this season.
Chances were at a premium in a drab first half but Matlcok should have taken the lead in the first meaningful attack.
Edward Cribley’s surging run came to an end when he was pulled down. But Lloyd Ransome spared his defender’s blushes by saving Dinanga’s kick with his leg.
