A GAME of little quality was decided three minutes from time when Kamil Ciolek found space at the far post to turn Luke Rowe’s free-kick into the net.
Twelve minutes earlier, Spalding had the ideal opportunity to break the deadlock when skipper Nathan Stainfield was fouled in the area. But Leon Mettam’s penalty was blocked by goalkeeper Joshua Barnes.
Spalding, who never looked like a team chasing a play-off place, did have the ball in the net on 80 minutes but Jonny Lockie was deemed to be offside in the act of shooting.
