PROMOTION was the big aim, but Lincoln City midfielder Alex Woodyard had another personal goal at the start of the season – to get another invite to The NLP’s big bash.
Last year the midfielder, who has recently turned 24, was at Stamford Bridge to pick up the National Game Award for Young Player of the Year – a prize previously won by Burnley striker Andre Gray.
This year he was back in the same room to receive the Player of the Year and follow in the footsteps of a striker called Jamie Vardy. Now, whatever happened to him?
