HEMEL HEMPSTEAD last night won the race to sign in-demand striker Charlie Sheringham – but Dean Brennan is keen to temper expectations.
The Tudors have beaten off competition from not only National League South rivals Dartford and Chelmsford City to land legend Teddy’s son, but from clubs in Thailand too.
Sheringham was “fantastic” for Brennan on loan from Ebbsfleet United last season but the Irishman isn’t suggesting the deal is a statement of intent.
