AFTER their last day escape last season, Sutton began the new campaign by entertaining the team that earned automatic promotion.
Manager Richard Sneekes had taken the summer recess to completely rebuild the squad with only four players remaining from last season’s team.
The game began with Sutton on the front foot and some desperate defending from Shaw Lane. It did not take long for Sutton to take the lead when Niall Flint, who had begun by tormenting Shaw down the right, fastened on to a ball, cut in and beat Jon Stewart.
