AARON Martin’s goal secured all three points for the home side.
After a case of missed chances in the first half including much travelled professional Richard Brodie hitting a post, it was Brighouse who took the lead nine minutes into the second half.
The ball was fired up field, Callum Robinson latched on and Martin shot passed ex-Blackpool keeper Jack Sims.
Also in the first half Skem’s striker Andrew Owens, who has had four goals in pre-season, also went close, while Town’s Jamie Underdown was denied by Sims.
