ON a perfect summer’s day both sides served up an excellent spectacle.
The first half was dominated by Clitheroe and Sefton Gonzales and Kurt Willoughby gave the Droylsden defence a hard afternoon.
On 23 minutes Gonzales received the ball, span on the edge of the box and stabbed it home. Willoughby should have doubled the lead with a lob one minute later.
The second half was more even. Willoughby scored a peach as he drifted in from the left and curled a right foot shot into the net. The visitors then had their best spell testing both the woodwo...
