EGHAM Town start this season as one of the favourites to go up but it was Barton Rovers who took the three points.
Egham started well but chances went missing as they struggled in front of goal and they were made to pay when Rovers went ahead with a fine strike from Josh Oyinsan.
The Sarnies thought they levelled with Brendan Matthew’s 36th minute shot, but the referee decided it did not cross the line.
And that took the wind out of their sails as the visitors controlled the second half.
