A LAST-MINUTE penalty saw Grays Athletic beat local rivals Tilbury in an entertaining afternoon at Chadfields.
Tilbury were indebted to keeper Clarke Bogard in the first half as he denied four good efforts. Tilbury’s best effort fell to Adam Vyse who hit wide.
The visitors started the second period strongly with Kieran Bishop firing them ahead.
But Tilbury grew into the game, and with six minutes remaining Emiel Aiken volleyed home after another scramble in the box that saw the ball coming off the crossbar.
