NORTHWOOD notched their first win at the expense of Arlesey, who remain pointless.
The Woods dominated the first half and took an 18th-minute lead when Meshach Williams stabbed in an Evans Kouassi cross. They doubled their tally on 32 minutes when Mahlondo Martin finished superbly into the top corner.
Arlesey battled back after the break and gave themselves a chance when former Woods midfielder Elias Moses fired in off the post. And they went close to levelling when Joe Steele’s header came back off the crossbar.
