MERSTHAM made relatively light work of an understrength Met Police side at Imber Court.
The Moatsiders became the fourth team in as many games to take an early lead against the Met, ex-Met man Reece Hall applying a smart finish to a neat three-pass move on six minutes.
The visitors doubled their advantage on 32 minutes when they were awarded a penalty which Ryan Hall converted.
Three bookings before half time provided a reflection of an attritional first half.
