I FEEL for Kevin Nicholson. Having achieved what looked unlikely, the unachievable, at the end of last season by keeping Torquay in the division, he was subsequently sacked after four games into the new campaign.
It looks to be a pre-meditated decision. I believe that if he hadn’t kept them up then they would have got rid of him. Survival almost made that impossible so it seems like the owners were waiting for a slip-up.
I think Kevin was on a hiding to nothing there and I can only hope he makes a quick return to the game. Our paths have crossed regularly during our careers.
