CUP FEVER: Romulus banked some vital funds in last season’s FA Cup run when they played Hereford
RICHARD EVANS was 27 years old when he first took charge of Romulus in the Birmingham Sunday Festival League.
The club his father Roger started in 1979, along with other parents Peter Fleet and Ken Powell, was set up to give young players in the area a club to play for even if they couldn’t pay weekly subs.
After 5ft high grass was cut down, they began life at Penns Lane in Sutton Coldfield.
