CHORLEY deserved this win against a Ferriby side that showed plenty of endeavour but very little in the way of end product.
Chorley stunned Ferriby with a goal after three minutes. They broke quickly and Jason Walker cut in from the right and fired a low shot past Ross Durrant.
Ferriby worked hard but found it difficult to create chances and did not trouble Magpies keeper Matt Urwin.
Chorley were quicker to the ball and looked more confident. Adam Blakeman drew a save from Durrant while Marcus Carver hit the post.
