JAMIE Brotherton’s firsthalf brace earned Lewes maximum points in a tight affair with high-flying Walton Casuals.
Luke Holness struck the opener inside 30 seconds for the Stags, before Brotherton saw an initial goal ruled out for offside.
The striker made no mistake ten minutes later though, and pounced on Bouwe Bosma’s header to beat an in-form Denzel Gerrar.
With Lewes forward Ronnie Conlon bought down in the box on the stroke of half time, it allowed Brotherton to double his tally from the spot before being replaced by Billy Medlock.
