■ BOSTIK Premier strugglers Harlow came close to upsetting the FA Cup applecart but had keeper Ben McNamara to thank for earning a replay.
Harlow made a good start and it was against the run of play when Marvin Ekpetita and Lewis Smith combined to set up Sam Higgins for an angled shot he clipped past McNamara in the 20th minute.
East Thurrock’s defensive frailties then came to the fore as first Alex Read scored on the half-hour and then Xavier Vidal four minutes later to give Town a half-time lead.
