■ A CONTENTIOUS red card was the major talking point of a highly competitive derby game played in atrocious conditions.
The torrential rain throughout by and large spoiled the game as a spectacle but Sebastian Julien’s sending off 17 minutes from time almost handed visiting Alty the three points.
The Stalybridge midfielder, who had already been questionably booked, appeared more sinned against than sinning in a clash with Tom Hannigan, but received his second yellow card nonetheless.
