WORKINGTON earned their fourth successive victory to move up above Coalville into sixth place after producing a battling and hard-fought victory.
The only goal came in the first half, which had been dominated by the home side.
The lively Scott Allison was fouled in the box and although keeper Matthew Coton got a hand to Conor Tinnion’s penalty he could not prevent it from going over the line.
Coalville had rarely threatened until Nathan Watson was left unmarked right on half time.
