YORK CITY will have made the long journey home wondering how they let three points slip away after Leamington staged a dramatic smash and grab in the final five minutes to leave them with just one.
José Veiga was forced into his first save in the opening couple of minutes, pushing away Simon Heslop’s half-volley, but he was powerless to prevent David Ferguson giving the Minstermen the lead on nine minutes, Amari Morgan-Smith sending in an inviting cross which was thumped home.
