EASTBOURNE BOROUGH needed two penalties to secure a win at Hungerford Town, who played 85 minutes with ten men after Diak John was shown a red card for a deliberate handball in the penalty area.
The decision to send John off and award the Sports with a spot kick appeared harsh as the ball had been blasted at the defender from close range.
But Crusaders keeper Lewis Ward kept his side from falling behind after five minutes, pulling off a brilliant save from Lloyd Dawes’ penalty as the home side set about defending their goal.
