STOCKTON Town needed extra-time to overcome Bootle and reach round three for the first time in their history.
The Anchors took the lead on 10 minutes when Kevin Hayes’ cross into the centre of the box was headed home by Joe Carter. Bootle levelled the scores shortly after when Liam Loughlin’s 25-yard curler found the top corner.
