GOALS by second-half substitutes Rob Carr and Ik Hill enabled Winchester to beat Evesham 2-0 in a game of few chances.
Despite Ryan Pryce making a crucial block to deny Paul Fahy early on, there was not much action of note from the teams in the first half.
However soon after stepping off the bench, Carr took a free kick which eluded everyone. Seventeen minutes later Kevin Sawyer was only able to parry Carr’s shot into the path of fellow substitute Hill who applied the finish.
