LIFE on the pitch is going well for Lewes too with Darren Freeman’s side top of the Bostik South.
Freeman took over in 2014 when they were struggling in Step 3 and still feels they were unlucky to slide out of the division.
Last year saw the Rooks miss out on the play-offs by six points but Freeman feels his young squad’s willingness to learn has helped put them among the pacesetters this season.
And the 44-yearold says he enjoys the rewards from working with a young, hungry group.
