■JOHN SANDS’ second-half strike rescued a point for struggling Needham Market after a close fought, end-to-end game at Bloomfields.
The Marketmen started brightly and could have taken the lead in the seventh minute when number nine Jamie Griffiths’ strike forced a good save from Met Police ‘keeper Luke Williams.
Armani Schaar, a recent arrival in Suffolk, then had a chance to break the deadlock, but his shot from a wide angle was parried away by the busy Williams.
