■CIRENCESTER recorded their first back-to-back league wins of the season with a convincing victory over local neighbours Slimbridge, thanks to a hat-trick from the brilliant Ben Whitehead.
Fresh from a 3-1 defeat of Barnstaple Town, the Centurions almost opened the scoring early in the game when Aidan Bennett had a header crash off the crossbar before Whitehead fired home in the 33rd minute.
And five minutes later he made it 2-0 to give the home side a comfortable cushion at half-time.
Whitehead completed his hat-trick with 20 minutes remaining after a great solo run.
