■LEWES were made to work hard to keep top spot in the South.
They took the lead in the 24th minute when the ball fell loose following Bouwa Bosma’s strong run into the box, allowing Gus Sow to shoot past Simon Overland.
Faversham started the second half strongly and were unlucky to see efforts from Harry Stannard, Ashley Miller and sub Christopher Barnard go unrewarded.
Lewes had to wait until the 90th minute toscore again through Ronnie Conlon. Deep into added time, Billy Medlock added the third from the spot.
