■RUNCORN LINNETS maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table thanks to a convincing 4-0 win at Winsford United.
Stuart Wellstead’s effort and Danny O’Brien’s penalty handed the visitors a two-goal cushion at the interval and they eased to the win thanks to second-half efforts from Antony Hickey and Freddie Potter.
Second-placed Runcorn Town had to come from behind before edging out visitors Barnoldswick Town 3-2 – Craig Cairns bagging a brace including the 74th-minute winner.
