CHARLIE IS OFF TO A FLYER

CHARLIE MACDONALD had a debut to remember for Cray Wanderers in mid-week just hours after signing for the promotion hopefuls.
The former Charlton striker, who joined from Greenwich Borough, netted twice in a 4-2 win at VCD Athletic to move just a point behind Bostik South leaders Lewes ahead of the weekend. MacDonald came through the youth team at the Valley and made his debut for the first team 18 years ago against Nottingham Forest.
In 2002, the 36-year-old signed for Margate before moving on to Stevenage and Crawley.
