BLYTH SPARTANS were held to a draw for the first time this season to make it just one victory from the past five games.
Meanwhile, FC United stretched their unbeaten run to seven games, the first half cagey, the second much more open.
Dale Hopson sliced wide early on before Craig Lindfield missed a sitter for FC United at the other end, off target from close in.
Sean Reid put an early effort after the break wide from a Hopson corner, but made amends for that miss on 56 minutes.
