THIS proved to be a game too far for leg-weary Gateshead as AFC Fylde strolled to a comfortable victory on Tyneside.
The Coasters were coasting long before Richard Peniket scored Gateshead’s consolation goal deep into injury-time – his third goal in three games.
The league’s leading marksman, Danny Rowe, had scored twice for the league’s leading scorers and there was no way back for an out-ofsorts Heed.
It was a first defeat in nine for Gateshead as Fylde’s own impressive unbeaten run continued.
