A FEISTY game with plenty of controversy ended in a win for promotion-chasing Salford.
Salford took an early lead through Danny Livesey, who nodded home a corner from ex- Reds man Nathan Arnold, however home keeper Chris Elliott felt he was fouled. Despite his protests and blooded shirt, the goal stood.
Alfreton equalised on 21 minutes through Luke Shiels. His perfectly timed run met a dinked free-kick by Brendon Daniels, before Arnold claimed his second assist of the day four minutes later, squaring to Jack Redshaw, who reclaimed the lead for Salfor...
