BLYTH SPARTANS made it a hat-trick of 3-0 wins to cement their place in the play-offs.
Dale Hopson was the twogoal hero scoring a 14th-minute penalty and then adding a second 13 minutes from time.
In between Jarrett Rivers scored a crucial second goal just before the break, a faltering Avenue having their moments but not scoring.
A foul by Avenue keeper Steve Drench on Blyth danger man Dan Maguire handed the home side the initiative, Hopson clinical from the spot.
