■LEISTON deservedly inflicted a first league defeat on Billericay since the opening day of the season, despite conceding an early goal.
The visitors’ Adam Cunnington lobbed just over the bar on two minutes. But he opened the scoring on eight minutes when he smashed past a shot past Leiston keeper Marcus Garnham.
Garnham then saved a dipping Luke Rooney shot, while Leiston’s Chris Henderson headed wide and Seb Dunbar drove a great chance narrowly off-target.
