REFEREE Eddie Pidduck took centre stage in a close match which saw Witton score late on after Matlock had fought back from two goals down.
The official sent off a player from each team and awarded Witton a controversial late penalty, which led to Steven Tames firing a late winner for the visitors.
Witton started well and deservedly went in front on 14 minutes through Owen Dale.
