IT wasn’t pretty but Telford United gained three vital points in the quest to stay up as they beat FC United of Manchester thanks to John McAtee’s first goal for the club.
The on-loan Shrewsbury man scored just before halftime when he was teed up by the excellent Elliott Newby to poach the goal.
Telford should have doubled the lead just after the interval when the ball was crossed to Amari Morgan-Smith.
