NUNEATON left it late but kept their unbeaten run going at home to Chorley in their bid to move up to mid-table safety.
They had not conceded a goal for more than a month going into the match.
That record went but not their unbeaten sequence, as they have not tasted defeat since January 6.
That looked as if it could end, however, especially after they went behind three minutes before the break when the Boro defence was breached for the first time in 533 minutes.
