WITH both sides in the promotion fight it was always going to be a tight affair – and Evesham were grateful for the points.
They got their reward on eight minutes when Archie Haskayne played a superb ball into the box and found Carl Brown, whose shot was too much for Ashley Clark in the Bristol goal.
Evesham created more chances, but failed to convert them in a first half they totally controlled.
The pattern of play in the second half was very similar to the first.
The only shot Bristol had on target during the game was a long range...
