WINCHESTER returned to winning ways with victory over Slimbridge. They took the lead in the sixth minute when player-manager Craig Davis scored directly from a free-kick.
Slimbridge goalkeeper Oliver Hall made three good saves and Winchester hit the woodwork twice. But in the 27th minute an own goal increased their lead.
The first half was not totally one-sided with Ryan Pryce having to save from Jamie Martin and Marley Thomas.
