CHORLEY strode into sixth place with a comfortable victory over a Blyth side clearly low on confidence and whose own play-off hopes hang by a thread after this sixth straight defeat. The Magpies were close to an early opening goal when Josh O’Keefe’s well-directed effort was athletically tipped onto the bar by Peter Jameson.
Despite making most of the running, Chorley had to wait until the 41st minute for a deserved lead courtesy of a smartly-worked goal.
