GLOUCESTER City signed off their home campaign with a pleasing victory, but were made to work hard against East Thurrock. The Tigers were quickest out of the blocks and the first goal was all down to the perseverance of striker
Jamal Lawrence, who robbed the dawdling Michael Clark before showing excellent pace and strength.
It initially appeared to have been cleared off the line by a covering defender, but the officials conferred and awarded the early goal.
