GRANTHAM Town sealed a play-off place as Sutton Coldfield ended their three-year stay in the Evo Stik Northern League Premier Division.
The game began with Sutton pushed back and Grantham having the best of the chances, but the hosts did look dangerous when able to break.
A free-kick taken by Adam Murray led to Josh Green lobbing the ball over the Grantham crossbar.
The Gingerbreads went ahead in the 20th minute when a corner came back off a Sutton defender and fell to Jordan Hempenstall who lobbed the keeper.
