STEVE Tames was on target twice as Witton concluded a successful season with a comfortable victory. And Albion’s leading scorer might have signed off with a hat-trick had Glenn Steel not appeared from nowhere to block a goal-bound effort on the line in the last minute.
Carl Macauley’s men took the lead shortly after the interval, following a tepid opening period, when Tames steadied himself before firing low into the bottom-corner past keeper Elliot Wynne from 18 yards.
