IT’S become more noticeable lately that kick-offs have taken a new for m.
More often than not prior to the star t of a g ame or after a goal has been scored, a player is allowed to stand in his opponents’ half so he can play the ball back to a team-mate from the centre spot.
The rules state that no player should be in his opponents’ half of the field prior to the referee’s whistle and the ball being played.
Why do referees tur n a blind eye to what is a clear breach of the rules, or am I just picking flies?
