SHORTWOOD UNITED have appointed Adam Paul as manager – meaning they won’t have to quit the Western League.
The club resigned from Step 4 last season to play football at a more sustainable level.
But they struggled to find a replacement for boss Paul Meredith and assistant Chris Burns, who left this summer, and admitted they may have to pull out of senior football.
But former Shortwood and Slimbridge player Paul is taking up the reins.
