RELEGATED Shawbury United have hit back at critics after they were fined £300 for fielding three players under false names in a Midland Premier Division game at the end of last season.
At a disciplinary hearing, the Shropshire club admitted that Judd Ellis, from Northern Premier Division One side Market Drayton Town, had not been registered before the cutoff date for new signings.
But they denied that two other players, Jordan Jones and Reis Mahey, who turned out in the relegation battle against South Normanton on May 3, were also played under false names, and had played for the club ...
